Popular Benue born Blogger, Mimi Atedze of Fabmimiblog elected Vice President, Guild of Professional Bloggers of Nigeria, GPBN.
Mrs. Atedze Mimi Juliet is a seasoned Media Personality and Journalist, Blogger, an Influencer, and Human Rights Worker.
She is the Chief Editor of Fabmimi.com a portal for Entertainment, Politics, News, Lifestyle, Fashion, and Events.
Fabmimi Blog has evolved from being a blog to a full brand and has various media consultancy undertakings with local and international organizations. Through these paths, she plays a significant role as an unheard agent in the land who does little things to make a positive influence on lives.
Fab Mimi started her profession in Journalism after acquiring an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mass Communication from Benue State University, Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. After her graduation, she worked with Pavilion Newspaper and was assigned to Government House, Makurdi, as a correspondent.
In 1999 after the return of democracy, the then Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly (First female to occupy the seat) appointed Mimi as her Personal Assistant on Media and Protocol. After this appointment, Mrs. Atedze continued with the Benue State Civil Service as an Information Officer. Her courageous stand against corruption using her website, as well as her Social Media outings is the reason she lost her job with the Nigerian Civil Service.
This mediapreneur currently a Public Affairs& Midea Officer with the National Human Rights Commission, and also a well-grounded TV Host with (MiTV), Lagos, Nigeria.
She is a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), and the Association of Nigerian Bloggers. She has received several awards in blogging. Some of her honors include being named among the 60 Women on Fire, Blogger of the Year (Benue State), Profile Award, and Nigerian Blogger of the Year Award, amongst others.
She two movie features under her belt with Pistos Production, and is an Alumnus of Lagos State University (LASU). She is a gentle, thoughtful, and free-spirited person who tutors, mentors, and empowers youths around her. She is also a noble and strong activist who fights for justice.
Mrs. Atedze is happily married with children.
